Here's what's new on the site. If the page didn't go back so far
I'd probably get rid of it, but it's an interesting timeline (well,
for me, and let's face it I'm the only one reading this page anyway).
(Inactive/obsolete links are rendered like this)
January 28, 2002 - Constantly adding more
pictures - all new pictures go there
when we empty them from our camera. Added the
Taking The Juice For Free page, with a flash
animation from my brother Jon Keegan. If you don't know what the phrase
"taking the juice for free" means, don't take the juice for free - instead
find out what it means! Made a bunch of
changes to the TiVo pages too (since September). Still not quite done
with all of them yet.
September 19, 2001 - Total rewrite
of entire site. The whole site is written in XML now, and I have a
stylesheet I've written for the site that renders it into HTML. Added
a Photos/Video section, a Stories section, a TiVo section, and a Links
section. Added to the Obscure References pages, modified the Guest Book,
changed About Jeff to About Us, and put the whole site under RCS (gasp!).
(Hey, I have no ClearCase at home, and vaguely remembered RCS so I decided
against using CVS).
April 2, 1997 - I finally finished my
Television page. I also entered and
put on the web site the new
Quincy Drinking Game. Lastly, I finally changed the picture of me
again. No more ninja serial killer!
March 6, 1997 - I created a new table of
contents entry called
EVERYTHING else, which points
to a page that contains everything that doesn't fit under the existing
table of contents. It's going to be much more than a "miscellaneous"
page though, containing all my old pages, new unfinished pages,
finished yet general pages, etc. This will serve as many people's main
pages serve - a place to put tons of stuff.
November 6, 1996 - I've put my
Carberry Technology Tribute Page
up on the site (now that Carberry Technology was dissolved by INSO).
Check it out.
October 6, 1996 - Today I wrote a script that
automatically generates my AFC East Stats
page. I've been working on many pages recently, but haven't put
them up yet because some of them aren't ready, and because I'm trying to
figure out a way to elegantly add more sections without restructuring the
entire page. One such page under construction now is my
TV page. More to come soon!
May 17, 1996 - Temporarily removed
the Music page from the table of contents
to create space for my new
Guest Book.
Please, sign it!
May 14, 1996 - In past 5 days I've created
several new pages. Movies,
Humor, and Music.
I also continued adding to Obscure
References. Now I've also changed the table of contents frame to
use images instead of text. I also got rid of the
Jeff's Tools/Services page since it didn't
seem too necessary, but it's still there so you can use the link I just
gave to still get to it.
May 9, 1996 - Got rid of "Daily Web Sites",
and replaced it with one of the pages I've been meaning to get up on my
site for a while:
Obscure
References. Be sure to check it out, it's a look
at obscure humor and how I feel it shapes my life. It's being updated
all the time, and you're able to submit your own entries about obscure
moments. More pages are soon to come! Also, the site finally went back
on-line publicly sometime in the past week.
May 1, 1996 - Linked
EBT's internal web site
(specifically the
Internal Employee Pages
page) to my home page. (This is only accessible inside the firewall of EBT,
but as of right now my entire page is only accessible inside the
firewall).
I also finally changed the picture of me on my web page. The original
one was a really cheezy picture I took with my QuickCam in under a minute,
and touched up a bit with Photoshop. After many comments from friends, I
finally got around to changing it. If you want to see how the page looked
before (with the old image), and you also want to see a pretty slick little
bit of frames magic,
I hate the "click here" style of some web sites, I'm still using it here
because I'm too tired to reword this. Sorry.). While I'm adding links
to change the topleft section, try a
title using FIGleaf Inline
(and another, but it'll take longer to download). Ah, what the heck..
one more.
January 20, 1996 - Wrote a much better script
to update my Jeff's Bookmarks page.
It now creates a table of contents on the left (based on folders in
the bookmark file), and shows the bookmark list on the right. Clicking
on an item
from the table of contents causes the bookmark list to scroll to the
appropriate section.
None of this really matters right now anyway since the machine
I keep my web site on is down for at least a week or two.. So, if
you're reading this, you're
either here at work with me or the site is finally back up.
October 20, 1995 - Wrote a cgi-bin script to
allow people who don't have Netscape 2.0 to still see my page the way
it was intended. The script mimics the behavior of frames, and saved me
the hassle of having two copies of all my pages. Users of Netscape using
versions prior to 2.0b1 will be bounced there automatically. Netscape 2.0
users who would like to see it can see it can view the
non-frames version
of my page (via this script).
October 16, 1995 - Created this
frame-based version of my home page. This is
the first time I've coded any serious changes
to my home page in a long time. It is
still here behind a firewall though, and
I hope to move it to dragon as soon as
possible. My old page there has been an
embarassment for at least a year or so now.
Please tell me what you think if you're
reading this, I'd like to know.
I hope to create new services/tools, and
I have plans to redo some of the existing ones
in a big way (JKDES in particular).
